Rainbow Brite

The seven colours of the rainbow plus the seven colours of the rainbow opened as sound repeated during seven minutes. To watch it properly, download it.

f # 3

f # series is based on Fibonacci sequence. What you see is what you hear (frames were converted into aiff archives). This is not generative, was made frame by frame.

Dissolving

Another experiment with Quartz Composer and VDMX. I think that the sound is much better if you download the video.

f # 2

f # series is based on Fibonacci sequence. What you see is what you hear (frames were converted into aiff archives). Images are not just empty black and white frames, but they only have a couple of pixels in another colour (black pixeles in white frames and white pixeles in black frames).

If you download the video the quality is much better.

f # 1

One frame with one pixel black, one frame with one pixel white and one empty frame. The sound follows the same sequence, I just converted the three original frames (jpeg) into aiff.

If you download the video the quality is much better.

Inverse Reverse

Inverse Reverse at Streaming Festival Sixth Edition (The Hague, The Netherlands) 1-18/12/2011.

Impasse Satan

This video is based on Satan en prison by Georges Méliès (1907). The images are distorted frames from the original movie –taken from a video file–, and the sound is the same video file open as sound –the film is silent, so the original archive didn’t have any sound– and also distorted.

The original film is in black & white, and I didn’t add any colour to it. The colours were generated by the digital artifacts of the original video file.

Spin: b6

The sound is from the EP Spin by Hatori Yumi.

The video is not generative or audio reactive, was made by hand with 2.549 still images.

If you download the file the quality is much better, the online compression doesn’t handle very well this kind of videos.
